I'm so happy to report that I passed the bar! I could not have done it without your outlines or essay materials. I was in a panic during the summer because the Barbri materials were way too long to memorize and they didn't explain how to approach each essay topic. Your materials clearly spelled out step-by-step how to approach each essay. Your essay templates were invaluable in actually teaching me the material. In the days leading up to the exam, I printed out your essay templates and memorized them which saved me so much time.
I could not have passed the bar without your materials. I will recommend your program and tutoring package to anyone who is taking the bar! It was also so important to get your feedback too on essays. Your prices are also so reasonable!
Tara did a great job in preparing me for the California Bar Exam. Her Essay/MBE/PT handouts and strategy sessions were a step above what one receives in a traditional Bar prep course. The oral and written feedback was of the highest quality. The one-on-one sessions were equally informative and motivating. Best of all, you just really got the feeling that Tara was taking you under her wing during this stressful time period and doing everything she could to help. I have no doubt she gives a lot of thought on how to meet each student's particular needs. I very rarely endorse someone so enthusiastically as I do Tara Shah.
Your individual tutoring sessions worked better for me in preparing me to take the actual test than Barbri. If I was ever unclear about something an essay session, or about a rule, or really anything, I had someone to turn to and that was invaluable to me.
Without Tara’s help, I could not have passed the Bar Exam with a 305; I scored 260 and 262 the previous two times I took the exam. The way she taught me legal writing as she described was like learning to ride a bike and taking off the training wheels. At first, I didn’t know what she meant by “trust the process,” but all of a sudden my essay scores went from 2 (failing) to 5 and 6 (well above passing!). Her ability to break down the elements of laws and statutes and make them memorable made them not only easier to memorize, but easier to articulate in my own words in my essays. Her flashcards were like gold! I seriously could not have done as well as I did on this exam without them, as well.
She takes extra time and effort to give to her students. I am blind and need specific test accommodations, and she factored that into her teaching perfectly. My final breakdown of my score was 147 on multiple choice and 158 on writing. The main focus of our sessions was on essay writing, and she taught me invaluable legal writing skills that not only helped me pass the exam, but that I will take with me for the rest of my legal career. 10/10 would highly recommend Tara!!!
I took up tutoring sessions with Tara after failing the bar the first time. Tara was extremely knowledgeable and was able to help me vastly improve my essay scores by making a few small changes. She has great insight into what the bar examiners are looking for and after working with her I passed the bar the second time! Through two rounds of studying for the bar, I tried all the programs and I am confident that Tara is the entire reason I passed the second time around. I loved working with her and have referred many of my friends to get help from her. I highly recommend her tutoring to everyone!
Tara Shah is a fantastic bar prep tutor. She worked with me to hone my skills for the written portion of the Georgia exam. As a bar exam grader, Tara was aptly positioned to demystify what makes for a winning essay. Tara provides incredibly detailed feedback with a projected score had the exam been officially graded. Not only is she a knowledgeable, experienced, and proficient writer and tutor who is an invaluable key into what the graders are looking for, she was also an integral part of my bar exam support system. She provided helpful tips on time management and was an empathetic ear during the stress of bar prep. I passed the Georgia Bar exam with flying colors — many thanks to Tara and her talents!
When I was preparing for the bar, I thought that if I understand the law, then I could write the assays as well. After failing because of my essays, I decided to hire an instructor. Tara’s feedbacks on my essays were something else. I realized that I knew nothing about writing a good essay. I would repeat to myself, “If I pass the exam, that would be because of Tara.”
I can’t say enough how tremendous her help was. As a foreign student, I had my own difficulties. Tara helped me to overcome them. I was sitting at the exam and enjoying my essays — yes, enjoying!!! I was thinking, oh my God, I know what to write, Tara taught me this, she explained that to me, she said I should do so...I was so confident during my exam thanks to Tara.
After I found out I didn’t pass the bar the first time I was devastated but knew I needed extra help to work on my weaker areas for the second try. I found Tara’s contact information through my school’s academic program. After talking to her on the phone about her tutoring plan I knew she was the perfect fit for me. Tara created a daily schedule for me to help me stay on track and tailored the practice assignments to help me with my weaker subject areas. Our scheduled meetings were always productive and she made sure I left the session understanding the correct answers. She was always available to me during my study day for any questions I had.
Not only does Tara really know her stuff, but my favorite thing about her was how positive she was throughout the entire process, she was more than a tutor she was a mentor. I ended up passing the second time with her help.
